Interview on Coral Reefs in Andaman Sea

Our interview is with Wannakiat Thubthimsang, Director of the Phuket Marine Biological Centre (or PMBC) and Niphon Phongsuwan, a coral reef biologist, at PMBC. As 2008 is 'International Year of the Reef' PMBC holds a seminar meeting with experts from all over Thailand at Phuket Aquarium 7-9 May. Their research ranks Andaman reefs 80-90% but Phuket, Phang Nga & Ranong only 60% of previous condition; while the artificial reef project using old planes & helicopters is delayed until after the monsoon in November.
