I agree with you, ArchivistaLindhorst. I would like to have that as wedding march too. Just hope to have a liberal vicar who will allow theatre music. :-)

@ArchivistaLindhorst We did have this march for our wedding. It was perfect. Don't let anyone talk you out of what you want musically; it's your day, not theirs.

@elias12186 I get it! Ha Ha!

Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau is always the best Almaviva.

@RSTAR2009 This was not an aria or song. This was the Wedding March, Figaro's Wedding to Susanna at the end of Act 3. This includes a chorus of women "Amanti Constanti" The rest are just recitatives spoken by the Count, Countess, Figaro and Susanna. But this has never been a song, which means only one person is singing.

Where is the song in the Marriage of Figaro opera score book?

I saw this great movie version of Figaro from the 70's on DVD in the Deutsche Grammophone label. It's the best! Beautiful production, authentic period costumes and with a true Spanish/Seville flavor and location, and the singing is magnificent by everyone - Dieskau as the Count, Freni as Susana, Te Kenawa as the Countess, Herman Prey as Figaro and a soulful Maria Ewing as Cherubino. Everyone is in character and acting/singing the hell out of their roles.. this one is .the best!!!

I think the 2nd mov of beethovens 3rd is more appropriate.
