How can we learn to unite ?
How can we effectively oppose aggressors without becoming aggressors ourselves ?
I think the only solution is compassion and saving every life, whatever the species. concerning humans - the elite are humans, too. there´ll always be people who want to have more power. power mustn´t be linked to any kind of advantages anymore. neither a shaman nor a manager should get advantages, but only more responsibilities. that way, only selfless individuals would "rule". ☮

Something will emerge whether it is a society similar to the Venus project or not. Artificial intelligence will most likely bring an end to the competitive market, so monumental change is coming and most likely inevitable.

Even Einstein predicted that a new social structure will emerge that we will look to as cave men look to our society today. I don't deny that this system has the potential to be exploited, just as our system is today. People always try to discredit this movement by claiming "you will still have murderers, rapists, etc" like we don't have that in our current system. If our recent social experiments have been so sustainable, why has there been perpetual war for the last 3,000 years?

My point isn't so much that we will still have rapists and murderers so much as the rapists and murderers are in charge now the new system assumes that the murderers currently in charge will simply disappear or dethrone themselves.

I'm not decrying Venus Project because I think its a bad system so much as it assumes that Good inheres within systems and this system will be better than the last. Systems are tools. No more or less.

The metaphysics is low-level / limited.

You assume that money is the primary driving force of the elite. The people who control society control the banks. Since they literally print the money they're clearly not interested in money (only those on the lower end are). We can see that power is slightly more important than money. The Venus Project doesn't account for power plays - only money plays. This is the fundamental flaw in the Venus Project. It doesn't understand the point of the banking system.

Power is the point.

Peace.

Einstein was referring to automation. The point here is that on "balance," this system offers a solution to MANY of society's problems. Not all, but most, by address the root cause instead of wasting time on patch work. Our current social structure requires an unbelievable amount of red tape because it is fundamentally flawed.

I do agree with you in terms of the elites motive, but they are in the minority. There will be such a huge influx of qualified, brilliant individuals working to protect, and perfect the system, that I see it as being very difficult for one of the few current elites to successfully manipulate the system. .

One more quick comment and then I'll get off my soap box :P

I do agree with you 100% about the movement no being fully refined. I would say that the philosophy behind the entire movement is empirical, but like with any system, the devil is in the details. I've had a difficult time getting specifics out of this movement regarding the interdisciplinary teams, or issues such as regional law, which has been very frustrating, but I think they're at least heading in the right direction.
