  • wait, sometimes I can't hear what the women are saying in the video. Oh, I hope I am not missing something hilarious! i'll try to reload!

  • It's an interesting read for me as a Black man, because I know that the hair, self-love, and self-identity journeys differ based on societal expectations, gender roles, and long-held double standards, and it was interesting to get a different perspective on the topic. Thanks Nicole, and I look forward to giving a better review when I finish the book.

  • I picked up a copy of the book this weekend, and thus far it's an excellent read. One of the thing I like most so far about the short stories is the way in which the author takes issues facing Black women and the community at large and personifies them, giving them a face, personality, and life of their own. The stories I've read always have a way of opening up the floor for discussion after opening the reader up for introspection and personal study

  • Best of luck on your tour! The hair thing -- went through that same mess 35 years ago -- when will it end?

  • Love this video! It was so funny and true....Thanks for sharing!
