Original Text:

Ch'io mai vi possa
lasciar d'amare,
non lo credete,
pupille care,
né men per gioco
v'ingannerò.
Voi foste, e siete
le mie faville,
e voi sarete,
care pupille,
il mio bel foco
fin ch'io vivrò.

Translation (by MehdiCaps):

That I could ever
stop loving you,
don't believe it,
dear eyes;
not even for playing
I would deceive you.
You've always been
my sparks,
and you will be,
dear eyes,
my beautiful fire
as long as I live.

  • I love Faustina. Thanks for sharing ; )

  • the piano player is so great... who is it?

  • i love:X

  • Oh, I see what you meant, now. It is not a piano score. The top part is for the violins in unison, and the bottom one for the basso continuo.

  • It's the rule for Baroque music: the vocal part(s) above the basso continuo, and the other instruments (if there are any) above the vocal part(s).

  • Why's the voice part in the middle?

  • I don't know, I find this version slightly dull.

  • I like the both of them....Johanna Stojkovic is more musical using the Handel melody along with the Tempo n this one is smooth n simiple...melody n the rythm is smooth!!! but both are perfect!!!

    Bravo!!!

  • Nice

  • I like this
