The likes of Alboreto, Arnoux, Ickx, Reutemann, Brooks, Pironi and other world champion material all had to pay dearly for "wisdom" of picking Ferrari over other teams.
Alesi practically shot his career straight to hell in 1991.
Senna, Stewart, Clark and Piquet were superstars without ever driving for Ferrari. So was Alonso, even though I think he is a modern day Nelson Piquet at best, realizing there's a Mansell and a Prost and a Senna to make people forget his 3 titles.

Ask Alesi if he thought he was intelligent to sign for Ferrari in 1991 when he could have been in a Williams in 1991 and 1992.
Juan Manuel Fangio (5 times champion in 7seasons driving) told Stirling Moss:"Never ever sign for Ferrari. Drive a single race for them but never sign a contract."
Why didn't Senna, Stewart or Clark drive for Ferrari?
Every person intelligent enough to know the history of who invented all the stuff we see today know Ferrari didn't invent squat.

alonso is a twat. formula 1 is a team sport, and guess what? in his attempt to get the championship, he lost both drivers and constructors titles! the last two races from hamilton i have to admit were horrible, and unfortunate, but overall he was the most conisistent. he deserved it. he matched alonso all season and beat him in the championship too, so that just shows his potential. He won it the next year though! :D
