yep, cesare is gorgeous, caked in makeup and all (altho, i've never been one with anything against that)! i often find a lot of these old german actors were. a bit of plot holes but this set is very beautiful and true to the nature of the film and the music is compelling! love it especially during the murder scene.

Cesare is very, very cute. That german actor was one of the best in those years and he was anticipating that romantic-gothic style of the seventies and the eighties. Tim Burton also learned a lot watching this kind of german expressionist movies.
