  • I hate that the government would step in and cap pay however, if we are giving them tax payer dollars to bail them out then we make the rules. I would not support the government doing this in cases where we are not bailing them out.

  • There is a guy that trades energy futures for Citi, last year he made CitiGroup about $7 billion, his bonus was 100 million. This year he is expected to make far more than $7 billion for Citi and he has made it very clear, no bonus, he walks. What to do what to do? Kinda puts that salary cap in perspective. You cant replace a guy like that. Trust me, he wont have problems finding work. Oh I know, get someone from the Americans for progress to go take his place.

  • Obama is not worth his salary of $400,000 a year...

  • They are beating a dead horse, the American Economy is dead in the water. The bankers are all crooks, until they are rounded up and locked away how do you expect the American people to have faith in the system. Those entrusted by the American people to oversee

the banking industry are still there at the levers of power,no one was fired no one was arrested. Meanwhile the politicians have transferred 1.8 Quadrillion in debt onto the backs of the American people.

  • How about this....

No more funds from the govt. DUHHH

  • This is good. The Prez is right in doing this. It doesn't really change the landscape much, but it does send a message that anything brought out into public scrutiny will be reviewed. Up to now, we've had an admin that was "The Decider" and "I don't care what the public thinks" duo.

This would have been dealt with by a Prez saying, "They got drunk." and the VP saying, "I don't care what Americans think, I know what's best." At least public talk is more civil now.
