  • That must of taken a long time to build it!

  • Yep. About 7 years. Posting better video soon.

  • how much would one of those boats cost already built?

  • It owes me about NZ$13000.00 plus labour.

  • what's the exact measurement of that boat? Where can you buy one?

  • It is 2.8m long and weighs 55kg.

Is 70% scratch built on a commercially made hull, and fittings. Not a full kitset.

  • It would be cool if they sold a R/C boat that shot air soft pellets at other boats! That way when someone is bragging about thier new boat, just shoot it and sink it! They won't have anything to brag about then

  • I agree. I wish people would run their boats past objects to judge their size, like a chair or cooler or something.

  • Great shots

  • @stevensj123 many, almost all of RC boats that are like this have guns on them...BB guns.

    Just search, RC BOATS FIGHT

    and you'll see xD

  • @agwhitaker Or, at 72nd scale, 6 feet prototype is one inch model. Call feet inches, then divide by 6. For 144th scale (Model Warship Combat scale), call feet inches and divide by 12.

  • @stevensj123 Model Warship Combat is what you're discribing. However, if you had spent $1k on a model, would you want me shooting at it? In response to your 3 year old comment listed in top comments, 4/19/2011

  • @stevensj123 There are boats like that It's called an r/c naval combat ship, but you have to build it. If a person bragged about it and you shot their boat you's probably have to give them money for what you did.

  • @stevensj123

ummm they alreeady do that.......... it would be even cooler if the ships were at 1/50 scale at which point the 15inch cannon is 7.62mm :) :)

  • The real USS Missouri was 887 feet 3 inches long. Or 10,647 inches to make it easier to convert.

10,647 divided by the scale (72) means the model would be -

    147.875 inches long - or - 3.756 meters long

  • hi 512516, perhaps we are using similar methods in scratchbuilding shipmodels. Presently I am building a 200 scale RC Prinz Eugen. I also collect all avail photos online, print out copies and mark special details like pipes, junction boxes etc. The plans are drafted by me. It's easier to make tiny parts in 100 scale but I already have Bismarck in 200 so I want to sail both in formation with carrier Graf Zeppelin as flagship.

  • @WWIIfan 2.8 m long REVELL missouri?...the revell missouri model is aboout 25 cm.....

  • hey very nice work

do you know where i can find a blueprint of this boat?

or something like that? im wanna build one myself but i cant find any plans
