omg i had to hide welkin behind my other tank shamrock....lucky i did, shamrock took the turret hit and died in one shot...but still managed to get this in 3 turns...

I'm pretty sure the turret fired twice on the Edelweiss during enemy turn 2, but it didn't die from the attacks.

I had a couple of goes at this mission using the above and to be honest, it really boils down to luck . I tried and most of the time, the ace ducked for the grenade shot or I got either Alicia or Noce killed a lot.

Besides, I don't think the Ace weapon isn't worth it so yeah.

What I usually do to solve both the ace AND turret problem is to have a scout throw a grenade between the explosive canister and cover the ace is using, then position my scout so the ace is facing away from my sniper and take him out there.

if the cannon bunker keeps blowing you up, take alicia from the spot she is in and shoot the big explosion box thing.

only problem is when sima the younger keeps ducking when a throw a grenade so it does like nothing.

Weird, first comment didn't post. I had to use an extra CP on turn one to kill the bunker (canister) with a scout as it would one-shot Welkin's radiator (5 reloads, 5 one shots). Good thing I put Rosie and Largo in the east base for the CP. Also, I only had accuracy and ammo boosts for the Edelweiss, none of the Crit-defense ones, which is probably why I was so easy to 1-shot. The only time I could get that tank to turn and fire on the Edelweiss was if I had accidentally hit it with a misfire.

Thanks for the strategy, it worked pretty well for me. The only issues I had were the AT bunker one-shotting Welkin's radiator (every time, I tried reloading for kicks, 5 loads, 5 one-shots, of course, I did it on 1.20) and Selvaria killing my sniper on occasion (Not that it actually matters, but I hate losing troops. My solution was to load Rosie and Largo in the east base for the CP, and use the extra CP on turn one to destroy the bunker with either scout 1 or 2.

Yeah, it happens between that you capture the middle base, and are waiting for the AT guy to spawn (Jann).

I also used Alicia's rifle grenade to throw the two guys behind the tank further west (giving Jann a bit more cover when running north to blow up the tank.

When the tank was gone i just blew the last guy away with Jann and used him to capture the flag.

Also, i recommend blowing up the bunker at the west base. It oneshotted Welkin when he spawned :/

I'm not exactly sure. Did that happen on enemy turn 2? And if it did turn around, did that impact the strategy much? Congrats anyway.

phew, after X retries (lost count...) i managed to do it in 3 rounds.

I still wonder how you managed to keep the heavy tank at the flag facing east. as soon as i captured the middle base Welkin spawned, and the tank spun around to shoot at him.

I save and reload quite a bit when recording also to avoid bad luck.. and yeah I usually make a few mistakes on the tricky parts before getting it right haha.
