Dupes- Mac Satin Taupe

$11 or $14.50 is nothing for an eyeshadow.

As I've mentioned before, just because you and many other people can afford it doesn't mean everyone can. There are plenty of makeup users out there who would rather use $14 on multiple shadows than just one color, young girls whose moms may not want to spend that much on one item for their daughters, or people who are just trying to cut back spending but keep the same quality of makeup.

Depends on the age.. Girls (or guys!) at the age of 15 and under should not spend alot of money on "expensive" makeup.. But, we all have the same kind of money and most get to spend it the way they want to.

Where I live, basic drugstore eyeshadows are the same price as mac, so if I had mac anywhere near, I would much rather buy that.

People over 15 can still be one a budget or trying to cut expenses. If you buy 4-5 eyeshadows a month and switch from MAC to NYX you save about $40-50 a month. Even if you only save $10 every few months, it can add up and make a difference for some people. If drugstore shadows were lower quality and the same price as MAC, I'd want to buy MAC too, but the point of these videos is that these shadows are the same or nearly the same quality for a lot less money.

A mac eyeshadow in pan is only $11, so why not just buy the real fucking thing?

As you can see in the video, I DO have the real thing. These videos are created for younger viewers or viewers on a very tight makeup budget. The economy is doing so poorly right now, many people are cutting back on expenses. Maybe they had the real thing before but only have a $10 makeup budget for the month, I don't know specific situations, but not everyone is fortunate enough to afford $11 eyeshadow, or they may not want to spend that $11 on just one item.

Is it just me or are there just some really snobby ass comments on here?! I would like to thank you for taking your time to make this video for the people who are on a tight budget. Whether saving an extra $1 or $5 its still something So just ignore the rude comments. I say all you need is a good eye primer when using drug store brands, turn out just as good :) Fyi H.I.P duo's in Sassy has a dupe as well, nyx's ice mocha

thank you soo much! im 14 and i love makeup but i dont want to spend $14 on just 1 shadow from mac! lol do u have a dupe for the mac eyeshadow femme fi? i dont know if they still sell this color from mac but i have seen it in tutorials and i love the color.

Each time, I learn of an affordable, comparable alternative to "MAC", I am very appreciative. As, MoonbeamBeauty stated, why pay $14.50 per shadow, if you do not have to! NYX has been a fav of mine for years. While I love "MAC", as a buddding makeup artist, I am often 'practicing", on folks for free, to sharpen my skills. I cannot afford to pay $15 plus tax, per eyeshadow. I prefer to spend that kind of dough on great foundation, and loose or pressed powder. Thank You!
