@TheMaffioso use it between your serato interface and your AMP. I run itch on a Vestax VCi-300 and this helped because I go into a mixer before the amp.

Thanks Jeff, I went to Radio Shack and bought one of these, it was like $16 anyhow, it totally eliminated all the laptop noise I was getting, big help! Of course I am using external sound cards, but this isolator was the solution!

@motojeff Hi there i have a problem to your laptop but on my desktop PC and all my pro audio gear ranging from keyboards to my mixer .
The problem on my hum seems to happen when i connect any of my keyboards with USB connection .
I can also hear the hum with my headphones in my mixer too.
I thought about getting a decent soundcard to see if that will help ?
All i know is something on my pc dont like it when i connect my synths via usb .
Any idea why ?
Cheers .
will the ground loop isolator do the same when plugging into the mic input because i get the same noise when trying to record something through the laptop. I unplug the power plug and most of the noise goes away but not all of it ;(

@Xbox360owner68 I am not sure, you may have too much noise in your laptop and the noise may not be from a ground loop. Check to see if you can hear it on headphones. If you can you may another problem to contend with
