TIMOTHY CAREY (HEAD)

Timothy Carey was one of the great 'Character Actors'. He wasn't very palatable for mainstream America which gave him the freedom to explore different characters. These are clips from Bob Rafelson's film "Head" starring the Monkees. All of Bob Rafelson's films are character driven and "Head", one of my favorite films, is no exception.

Timothy Carey, the greatest eccentric actor of our century, perhaps only topped by Kinski. I read he lost out on Resevoir Dogs because Harvey Keitel remarked he enjoyed Tim's work, Tim said thanks but did not return the compliment & Harvey took offense & nixed him for the part. Tim did not know who Harvey was (his work) I guess he didn't follow modern film contemporary actors much...

I agree that the late great Tim Carey was one UNIQUE character actor. Truly eccentric. Too bad I can't get the video clip from Head to play! Grrr...oh, to suffer the slings & arrows of outrageous fortune. Oh, the humanity!
