What to see my video of the "Fun Version of Going through ACL Surgery and Recovery?" click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVPy7SBFNzc
This is me doing a grand jete on the left and right about 2 years after LEFT ACL SURGERY. I finally started taking real ballet classes in Sept 2009, and it took me a couple weeks for my left leg to get used to it and took me a couple more weeks for my left leg ballet muscles to get built back up. I'm still not 100% - my left thigh is still smaller than my right one lol.
It took me forever to actually do a grand jete because i thought i was going to tear my left ACL again when I do the left grand jete which has you land full weight on your left leg. But I did it and I'm really proud of myself! Don't critique me on the technique so much because I've been dancing for about an hour already and I was tired.
I wish I had a grand jete like that!

I dislocated my knee cap and injured my ACL and MCL. It sucked and the fear of getting back to dancing was worse than the actual recovery. I totally know what you mean about your thigh muscles being bigger on your good leg! Way to go for getting back in the game, because I know how hard it can be.
