Hmm so by the time I'm old i won't get retirement funds because of republicans? I really wish i could call every one of them who are republicans bastards in the house and senate. They don't want to tax milionaires & billionaires but they want to tax middle class people who have it rough already? also - the amounts collected in the 25 years after Reagans 1983 SSI amendment were more than what was being paid out. Again, we already pay their salaries, Paul Ryan and family enjoys the government healthcare we pay for while he and others won't stop talking about how terrible gov't healthcare program is. So, in addition to paying us back, let them take a pay cut and give up health care like the majority o the people are expected to.

Yes, there must be changes. To start, those that keep talking about accountability and controlling spending need to try it themselves. The people being made to pay for the mistakes of others so the minority with money and power can continue on without sacrifice needs to end. limited space and inability to post URLs, I give one example which will replenish SSI funds. Stop the non-job creating and job outsourcing tax cuts, and pay back the $2.61 trillion in IOUs Reagan started.

Patriot150792 - It seems too many are not aware of the Fairness Act. Or more importantly the dissolution of it under Reagan. Journalism used to have standards. Anything claiming to be news had to include verifiable facts, and any opinion had to also have the opposing opinions represented in the same on air segments or newspaper articles. Unfortunately, too many having grown up with that standard do not recognize the change in law means made up lies as now legally presented as fact.

Patriot - again, you aren't reading or fact checking are you? I know I have given you examples and links. But don't believe anyone - try looking at history, who has been in government over the pat 5o years - the Bush family, friends and the repeating names especially over the past 30, their friends, money, voting records and law changes that have brought us here. Unless you are also making 250K or more a year, stop voting against yourself!

Again misinformed -- check out Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism - and please, fact check - and read some more - including other countries that post things we don't see here. It's scary but it's really not that hard to prove the damage that has been caused by mainly GOP - or even just read why we came here from England, and look at the Bush family history and friends that have been in office the past 50 years, their votes, law changes - put it together. Stop voting against yourself!

Does anyone know why people go across U.S. borders for health care??? .....because they can't afford it, and the republicans say we have the best health care in this world, and why, because the people who "get the best health care," are the ones who can afford it! It is a crying shame the way the poor, sick and seniors are treated in this country, all because they can't afford their "health care."
