i have reason to believe that the reason behind the wearing of neckties is because the synthetic fibers in neckties contain subatomic energetic particles exclusive to necktie fibers called tachions and these particles emit energy throughout the time and causing a chain reaction of isotopic atoms which produce cosmic powers such as time travel or the ability to create an FTL drive (a device that causes a user to go Faster Than Light. [idea comes from Star Trek]). Which is why people wear neckties

Here is the answer - A necktie is a form of Expression, like the young guys with the pants hanging so low that they are "crackin" Now some girls may be impressed with that - "Beauty therefore fashion is in the eye of the beholder"

I like that you ask 'Why'. Besides health issues, I don't wear ties because I don't wish to comply with social norms, especially with unconscious behavior. I prefer to live more consciously.
Wikipedia had good info, but years ago on Paul Harvey's " Rest of the Story" program, he shared how the necktie was used as part of the uniform to protect the throat from the enemies swords. Sounds like an unconscious message of "I am in defense mode". Suitable perhaps for office/business attire & dating?

Good points. I like to push against the norm by wearing a tie when it is least expected, and not wearing a tie when it is required:)

Wearing a tie creates a professional look with a suit. Nobody really believes that casual clotehs look better. That's the trend now, and most people are afraid to go against the trend - so they say that casual clothes are great.
There is a lot of pressure now to dress like a slob. Anyone who stands up to that and dresses professionally is a maverick. I trust a man in a necktie and a suit in a professional setting. I don't trust someone who dresses down because he is afraid to dress well.

I agree with you 100%. I just wonder where that idea got into our heads. But until I can completely understand the exact reasons for this, I will continually be in search of the perfect power tie.
