  • My little one was about 7 months old. You can do back carries with a 6 week old but I would not suggest to do them with a Mei Tai. You need a non-stretchy, woven wrap. Check out The BabyWearer message boards.

  • Thanks! No, she never really pulled my hair. Or I would put it in a ponytail.

  • you guys rock! what a LOVELY baby!!! i'll try this shoulder sit technique. twilli is also very squirmy and fussy when i try to do a back carry in the mei tai.

  • thanks! glad to help you.

  • Thanks for this video! I have a mei tai but didn't really know how to do a back carry with my 5-month old. I was able to carry laundry down three flights of stairs today with baby on my back for the first time since she was born. Thanks!

  • That's great! I'm so glad it helped you.

  • Hello! I followed your video step by step and it is so much easier and faster than what I was doing before! I was placing him in front then twisting the babyand the mei tai slowly to the back.

This is very helpful, thank you!

  • Wow...that actually looks pretty do-able! Back carries have been intimidating to me but I think I'll try it. Thanks!!!

  • This is now how I do this carry! It's my favorite back carry! Thank you for this video. I would be going crazy if I couldn't put my LO back there. I've been trying for a month and the day she turned 4 months, it worked! Huzzah!

  • Thanks for making such a great video. Can't wait to try it out.

  • How old was your baby? do u think 6 weeks is too young for this one? thanks!

  • thank you so much. lots of help for my extremely wiggly 30lb 15month old

  • Thanks a lot for this video! You have an adorable baby! <3

I have a question: Your hair is pretty long, doesn't your baby pull it? I'm afraid of getting bald if I carry my child like this...
