Unbelievable!!! Instead of being honest business people (an oxy-moron), and offer her a sweet deal to BUY her property (which gives her a choice), they tried to steal it from her by going to the state and having politicians/lawmakers tag it with eminent domain bullshit and say it was for the "greater public good." It's horse shit! Good thing she won. But bet your sweet ass that they'll be watching her until she passes away and they'll start the bullshit all over again. Crooks!!

This is so odd. USA used to be a free world!!!!!!!

"The white man made us many promises - more than I can remember, but he never kept but one: he promised to take our land - and he took it"

God bless you Maria. You are fighting not just for yourself, but all Americans. Just a small example of the larger more egregious breeches of Eminent Domain. We are slowly becoming more like China.
In NYC, Mayor Bloomberg's Administration stole vast parcels of land surrounding Brooklyn and Willets Point, Queens using Eminent Domain. The land was given to private developers and billionaires to build tax-payer funded billion dollar stadiums for the Nets and Mets.

This video is not about Stamford being fun or boring. Its about huge coorporations who take our fundamental right to own property and keep it. This woman Maria has put all her passion and hard work to be a small business owner and survive in this highly controlled financial world.
They should stay! It's their property. I think it's awful that they put so much pressure on the owner!

OMG! I was born and raised in Stamford, CT. My Mom used to work at Curley's, many years ago! I can't believe how Stamford has changed; hard to recognize the landscape anymore.
