Little Jo-Jo knows no danger - and this is just a small example of the hardships one has to endure when living with Autism. Our daughter Michelle who is 8 is also Autistic. The NYC Fire Dept. rescued our child like true champions! Special guys for our Special Needs!

I urge you and all advocates for the Developmentally Disabled Community to get involved and make calls to tell both federal and local , state & City governments that you are against these cuts! Keep in mind that RESPITE and RESHAB services fall under and will be affected if these cuts take place. WE NEED ANY AND ALL SUPPORTIVE SERVICES THAT WE CAN GET!

Waarce, I have two autistic children (Boy & Girl). I have learned that we have to do what we can to ensure our childrens safety which intails making sacrafices. As parents for our children we are the only advocates they have so if this video teaches us anything besides keeping a watchful eye on them but we as advocates have to lobby against service cuts for Developmentally Disabled Community so I urge you to get involved and make calls to tell both federal and local governments that you are --->

What's scary is the unpredictability of the behaviors. I have a child with autism and he is just all over the place, jumping, spinning and running. He lands hard against surfaces. However, I will encourage the parents to simply chop the tree (sorry tree lovers), but if I can keep my child safe by choping it, I'll chop it!

This Video SHOULD BE A WAKE UP CALL to educate people on how serious Autism is and IS NOT a Joking Matter! Also this Video should be an example and brought to public debate on why both Obama and Paterson administrations should NOT CUT SERVICES for the Developmentally Disabled Community. What should be done is to make improvements in these services and make cuts in other unnecessary administrative areas!
