6,800 point drift in the Forza Motorsport 3 demo using the Ferrari California (no aids). There's no scoring in replays so you'll have to take my word for it! I used the MS XB360 wheel for this (eagerly awaiting the Fanatec wheel with the drift mode). You can carry the points multiplier from the esses into the left-hander hairpin if you initiate early with a small Scandinavian flick.

  • No assists, huh? Sick. I play with nothing on and on manual without the clutch. I can respect another driver who can do all this drifting without it turned on. Whats your highest lap score? Mines 16.5k and I'm steadily improving.

  • Not sure about the lap score. I pretty much just focused corner by corner.

Everything I know came from my coaches at Jim Russell... check out some of my karting videos!

  • hey MadCat360...just wondering is the MS Wireless XB360 wheel worth the money? I found it from amazon for $85 but I'm hesitant cuz I've heard complaints about it breaking after not that long..yet at the same time I've heard many wonderful things about it..expect no clutch pedal :(

  • Stephen, the MS wheel is "okay". The wheel itself has a lot of play in it, and it kind of flops around a little bit. The right paddle shifter also broke for me a few months ago. It's not overwhelming. Not very durable. The pedals are also very light in resistance and they're hard to use properly. It also has no FFB support on the PC.

You might consider the Logitech DriveFX instead as a budget wheel. I've heard it's more durable, but I've not used it.

  • I did a quick search and it appears that the DriveFX doesn't have real force feedback... on that basis I would recommend the MS wheel. Just treat it gently and it should last.

  • i did 16k ;)

  • I'd like to see it!

  • Nice job man, I love the california. I remember I once got like 5k with a stock skyline 2000gt on the corner at 0:20. Pure luck, cause I've never been able to do it again.

  • good drifting

  • you can drift in anycar that moves, some are just harder then others

  • YES U CANNNN

  • yes you can... the first time i unlocked the drifter achievement was acutally in a new beetle lol...but neways fwd drifting is different then rwd and awd but its possible...look up the scandinavian flick and fwd drifting techniques

  • 22k with Mini Cooper....

  • mines 22k with the MINI.....

  • How are you even supposed to drift with the assists turned on? They all prevent you from slipping out...
