@staypress hope these comments are useful to you staypress, they were magic times, i still go back to london now and again to have a walk round soho and the west end, i stand there at what was the scene and the last chance saloon, i can still picture everyone hanging about outside the clubs, the coffee ann, the flamingo, the people walking around there now have no idea what went on up there all those years ago, i always wanted a vespa G S, REGARDS DAVE, anytime mate, cya
tommy tucker, "hi heel sneekers/long tall shorty" baby washington, "thats how heartaches are made" marvin gaye, "how sweet it is to be loved by you"major lance, "the monkey time" martha and the vandellas, "quicksand / heatwave", donnie elbert, "little piece of leather", otis reading, "mr pitiful", inez and charlie fox, "la dee da, i love you", bobby freeman, "c'mon and swim", brenda holloway, "every little bit hurts", once a mod, always a mod, i'm gonna get me a rockers head, regards dave
the last chance saloon was in oxford st just a few yards along from one of the entrances to tot ct rd station, a 10 min walk from the scene, or la discotheque, the tunes ? well i guess the music just appealed to me so much i made a note of what was being played, it was just so good, i still remember the first time i ever went "up west" we got to wardour st around midnight, it was packed both sides with mods, all on blues, babbling away about god knows what ? brilliant!!! regards dave
oh yes !! brilliant tune from the early days, up west in soho, the last chance saloon, the scene, i think the actual soul city shop was quite near tot ct rd station remember buying a few there myself there, this for me will always be just a timeless classic, many thanks for posting DJK regards dave
