It's his sofa, not his couch. In England sofas are specifically designed by companies to give people something to review on. No one in their right minds would think of sitting on them as they are liable to explode if they don't hear snark every three minutes (it's a major cause of deaths over here) Wheras couches, while similarly shaped, are only used for sitting on. Someone tried reviewing on one once, he was never heard from again!
