When people say "why do you love Beverly Sills?" THIS is why!!
She truly loved to sing and had fun doing it- not an easly combination for some singers to pull off!
Oh, by the way, that's Roland Gagnon singing as her "Alfredo" in the Traviata clip!

Also, that final cadenza is from "O luce di quest'anima", but in a different key, I think (I didn't check the key, but it sounds lower).

You forgot one right before the Manon...Amor, by Richard Strauss! I've loved this performance since I first heard it in the 70s.
-
you forgot a tiny part of the song "Amor" by Strauss in the List!

I own the Sillsiana CD album. Sills is in great "early" voice ('68, '69, '70) and she sings arias that were not commercially available - Gounod's Juliet's Waltz, Ernani Involami, Baroque arias from Semele, Mozart (Abduction from Seraglio) and the finale from Lucrezia Borgia. It's a great CD

I love the transition between Hoffmann and Traviata.
This whole piece is wonderful and captures Sills at her absolute best.
The singing is simply spectacular

Conductor Thomas Schippers said that Beverly Sills had the fastest voice alive. This performance supports his assertion. She was also a lot of fun and is greatly missed. Thank you for posting this.
