There's something seriously wrong with the weather board on my Cobra 29 WX NW BT. It's receiving only 1 weather station (and not very good at that), compared to my other two CB's (Cobra 29 LX LE 50th Anniversary Edition & Uniden PC78LTW) which are hearing 3 stations each (loud and clear). Any ideas?
By the way... I love the BlueTooth feature of the Cobra 29 WX NW BT radio. I mount my HTC EVO mobile phone in a cradle while in the car. It's way easier to grab the mic on this CB radio to answer the phone, then to try to pull the phone out of it's cradle. A lot of times my phone is plugged in so it can charge, which makes it even harder to answer while driving. I've tried hands-free devices that clip to my visor but they pick up all sorts of background road noise. I've tried bluetooth earpieces too, but those are hard to keep track of and they don't stay in my ear.
Note: This test was done using my homegrown stealth base station antenna, as described here: http://www.wolfington.net/articles/dipole/
@JGFowler121 - seems it's 1/2 duplex instead of full duplex. In other words, if I'm talking and the other person on the phone starts to talk while I'm talking (interupting me basically), then I get cut off and they no longer hear me talking. It can be quite frustrating at times. If it were working in FULL duplex then we'd both hear each other even if we were talking at the same time.

@JGFowler121 - They finally did fix it. I must say it's still not as good as the Uniden's weather though. In fact, neither of the Cobra radio's weather works as good as the Uniden's. The Uniden just comes in clearer, even with a weak signal. I do like the Bluetooth feature of the Cobra 29 WX NW BT, but I after using it more and more I've uncovered what I see as a shortcoming of it. When it's connected to your BlueTooth enabled mobile phone, and you're speaking with someone on the phone, it

What was your final resolution on the Cobra 29 WX NW BT? Did you get another radio? Has the problem been corrected? I am getting to buy a Cobra 29 WX NW BT and I already own a 50th aniversary radio.

@RFMaster6 - hihi! Easy... 2 vehicles and a base radio. 1999 Chevy Suburban, 1974 VW Thing, and Base station inside the house. =) I have the books for getting my HAM license actually. Just need to find time to keep studying. 73.

Good grief, what do you need three 40 channel AM CB Radios for ? Why not get a ham license and buy a real radio.
