I'm glad the story worked out so nicely, but wouldn't it have just been easier to tell her from the get-go? As a gay guy who doesn't necessarily trip people's gaydars, I know that people are going to assume that I'm straight, and so I try to let people know early on, just to get it out of the way. :)
