Is this a 4/4 or a 3/4 double bass?
Thanks
(Awesome take of the song btw)

Marc was just a technical master. It's common to see these technical jazz players come along (like Arturo and Jaco dare I say) and watch them destroy the rich history of swing, but Marc Johnson (heavily influence by Scotty) really set the bar high for technical, yet very tasty, improvisation on the jazz bass.

Masterful construction of both Piano and Bass solos. Spontaneous improvisation at its best by master improvisors. Long Live improvisation. Jazz will never die.
i love how different Nardis is from '65 to '80. Bill is the best. Thanks a million for posting this video!

The Master at the peak of his powers. Without doubt the greatest jazz pianist ever. Even Art Tatum would have stood up and said "God is in the room".
The best trio since LaFaro and Motian. Any Evans fan should have this DVD in their collection.
