By the way, did you do more investigating? Did you find out if there was a superior temperature?

@CaribbeanLatino Not worm composting. Mine simply smells outdoory WHEN I open my bin and I'm leaning over it. It sits in my bedroom closet, 40 gallon bin, I NEVER smell anything. Except for 1 time I poured some burnt up pot into the bin, and it stayed moist and so my bedroom smelled like weed for a while :P

@tortaboy Thats it

@XsmashX1 Keep the peels but make sure your mixture is balanced with enough paper or cardboard. The foul smell is telling you that there is an imbalance which may result in slower decomposition and the release of PH altering chemicals.

@lolustupid If your compost is balanced with enough Nitrogen based products(fruit, veggies) and Carbon based producs(Cardboard,paper etc) then there shouldnt be any foul odors.Actually Ive noticed that it gives off a nice "outdoors smell" If your mixture for example has too much nitrogen, Anerobic bacteria will create a foul odor. Good luck with your bin.. hope this little bit of info helps. Im still learning myself.

I put banana peals into my bin and it's starting to smell.
I can put banana peels into the worm bin right?

@XsmashX1
Yep, banana peels are fine. If you smell them, you don't have enough damp bedding on top of them.
