The devil freed a nation from slavery? People who were enslaved and treated worst than animals ... and why the christian god didn't come to help? Oh yeah, I forgot ... he was on the other side, since most of the oppressors were Christians. I come from the French-Indies, and we have a deep respect for Haitian people. How can some ignorant dare to judge a nation who had the courage to fight for their freedom with only machetes and their faith. Pat Roberston owes a public apology to Haiti.

i agree that God won't ever punish a whole nation, but, it's not about religion, religion was the first government, it made our ancestors get on track and able to recognize whats wrong and whats good... and it was the first step to organize the society the way we know it nowadays, without religion we would be like "non-rational-beings"... living selfishly without thinking about anything or anyone else other than ourselves and the right now.. and THAT'S why Haiti has so many problems...
