Love it!!!

Utterly wonderful performance of this most thrilling of Dufay's motets. There is a recording - I think it's by Pomerium - where one of the leading notes of the final cadence is elongated to spine-tingling effect. Not sure how 'authentic' that is, though!

Excellent live performance, what a treat. A thrilling (not merely beautiful) work of polyphony. "Ecclesiae militantis" always raises the hair on my neck, in the best way. And at its best it brings tears to my eyes too, AlainNageon. :-)
By the way, WakeUpToEarlyMusic, you might want to correct the spelling of the work's name in the video title, so more people can find this wonderful video.

Dufay really was the master of brass. He could achieve the same drama with two brass notes that took later composers entire parts. Always love to hear his music performed like this.
-
It's a moment of incredible joy, though expressed with simplest musical means !
-
For me it's a very good performance, and rare, as there's not much of Dufay life on Youtube. It must have been much better with the accoustics. I wish I could be there.
Good sopranos to this kind of music.
You were right AlainNaigeon - Amen is incredible, with the entrance of posaune at the end.

Why?
-
The end, from 4:10, makes me cry!

Same for me!! At some moment I hear three different rhythms (simultaniously).
And the duet by women is incredibly joyful, though it seems *so* simple.
Indeed it's very hard to write simple music ;-)
