Would it be somewhat correct to call these "Super-deformed" model trains?
(I really am trying not to think "Chibi scale" :) ) I would have thought only American O gauge made use of this idea, since many models would be too big for most layouts if made to true scale size, so some of them are compressed in length. Seeing this idea in a small scale is quite new to me.

The scale is small by Japanese house circumstances, but is surely pretty.
