  • =) =) =)

  • and glorious weather!

  • I lived in Ireland for 3 ys and thru that time I loved pipes&drums bands. Street festivals are what I miss at most! Not to forget about beautiful landscapes, neat citizens and pubs!

  • lol it is part of Irish culture, just becuase some one played pipes in the middle east is like saying gun powder was used in China first therefore any fireworks display is chinese. The bottom line is this culture in Irish based through melody, music and culture. I see very little middle eastern inflence lol.

  • Still stands as the one of the most impressive and uplifting things I've ever seen..

  • "immigration"

  • History lesson. Bagpipes came from the middle east. Carried by Roman Empire to the Celtic areas of Scotland and Ireland. Scottish claim them as their own, Irish call them "Irish War Pipes." Both were introduced into the US Police and Fire Service in the late 1800 to early1900's post immagration from Ireland.

  • Yeah would be nice if it was actually Irish culture and not Scottish, thanks.
