  • 530 EX II but moch more expensive.

  • during some promotional periods the prices can get pretty close, but generally you're right. 580ex II is more expensive.

  • it's all subjective. both units are great flashes. the review mentioned in the video outlines the differences in detail.

  • I tested 580exII, 58AF1 and 430 exII. Next to the inferior mechanical quality of the 58AF1 (e.g. the plastic foot is really flimsy, and the tilt indicator for a tilted head is always on in my display) it also produces less light than the 580exII when set to the same settings. I checked this with taking pictures of a wall on 2,5m distance, while checking the histogram. Both 430exII and 58AF1 produce the same amount of light at full power and zoom, while the 580exII produces one stop more.

  • you can upgrade metz's software

  • thew best SB-900 but for Nikon.
