Muslims gather in Mecca for Hajj

Almost three million Muslim pilgrims from around the world have gathered in the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia to perform the annual Hajj. The country's authorities have deployed up to 100,000 security personnel to keep order during the five-day event which begins on Saturday.

@DankWin Doesn't matter what happened "way back". Muslims had the region for a 1000 years, Israel hijacked it with the help of the british just a few years ago. Don't get me wrong, Israel should exist, but only if they withdraw to the 1967 borders, and preferrably back to the planned 1947 UN lines.

There will be no peace until Israel gives back what does not belong to them.

If aliens were observing them from outer space, they would be puzzled about the rituals of kneeling, bending, bowing, whispering, all to an imaginary creator somewhere in outer space. The aliens would also be puzzled that billions of dollars are being wasted to travel to mecca when millions of people on the planet are dying from hunger., starvation, illiteracy, malnutrition, poverty, and disease and half of Pakistan is under water. i respect that you may not like the concept of muslims flooded into your country, but please undertand that the support of israel, is hypocritical if you are against muslims in europe. because israel, and "the jews" that came to inhabit it were largely immigrants coming into palestine for 100 years or so leading up to israel official founding. so, if you are against muslims in europe because of fears that they may one day take a piece of your land, then dont be a hypocrite with israel.
