Todd Newmiller was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to 31 years in prison after evidence in his case appeared 11 months after the crime and other evidence was "lost." The only witness against Newmiller, Brad Orgill, was the only person who could have stabbed the victim.

Meanwhile, Todds appeal to the Colorado Court of Appeals has been denied, and the Colorado Supreme Court has refused to review his case.

  • I cant believe this is so like my husbands case. He knew in short order he would not get a fair trial and refused to even attend his. thinking the evidence will tell the story. When evidence is lost, destroyed or surpressed there is no way to win once a prosecutor has you in their crosshairs. My husband has been in prison for 18 years for Murder 2 in New York state. I hope some day the truth will be known. These wrongful convictions are out of control.
