  • The VeilSide Fortune kit never did it for me, it looks great, but it doesn't keep that traditional FD styling that I've fallen in love with.

  • all i can say is wow veilside fortune kit on a rx7 is hot but when u custom fab 360 rear light clusters into the rear thats taken it 2 another level bro, truely a one off car no other like it in the world. much respect for having the balls and the wallet 2 pull it off

  • there r two types of surge sound in turbo setup . one is compressor surge , the other one is flutter noise . this is more like a flutter noise . notice that the air sound / noise still get pushed out . meaning there is a slight tone in it . if its a total compressor surge , the it would be so obvious that its like air / wind being push out unnaturally . sorri not good at explaining . but try searching some vid on flutter n surge on youtube . u usually get flutter if big turbo or 2 bov .

  • wow i like the steering

  • @razioth I have a GT4094 turbo on my FD and it has two BOVs, still get that sound. If I just rev it at a standstill you can see the BOVs both fluctuating back and forth with each surge of pressure. Also if you have a larger wastegate dump like mine(50mm), you hear weird noises from it too :)

  • @raukorist77 exactly

I did my research and it's called 'compressor surge'

the pressure that builds up from the turbo cannot enter the engine when the throttle is released, so the compressed air has nowhere else to go and exits from the INTAKE turbine of the turbo which can be very harmful for the turbo and/or engine.

It sure does sound good but one of the way to fix it is putting a bypass or blowoff valve, so the pressure exits the wastegate when the throttle is released.

  • @razioth if its the sounds at around 33sec that youre talking about that is

  • @razioth that almost stuttering chirp? its the turbo spool down, almost sounds like its stuttering but im sure it isnt. i love that sound :D

  • @TheMagicalBikeCrew yeah man in 10 years time people will be pulling that kit off going previous owner was a tosser for installing this rubbish on such a beautiful shape car. How do I know? Take a look at all the Datsun 240z's with shitty kits of them now. ;-)

  • its the wastegate you stupid ranga

  • turbo flutter,chatter,surge lol

  • Nice Veilside Fortune kit at it again.
