It was good as a means of getting people's attention about just how bad the situation was. By winter 1987-1988 there was an estimate 70,000 homeless in New York City. Now imagine 70,000 of these vehicles being lugged around in the snow, ones that broke or were abandoned. The homeless wouldn't have the means for repair. But this proposal did help push the idea of workfare (community service for welfare).

you have the following choices, (1) criminalizing homelessness
(2) pie in the sky "art" solutions that cost $500 - $1000 ,
(3) fema finding a way to make a tent cost $10,000,
(4) cheap housing that yuppies imagine menes lowered property values,
(5) a properly made $50 tent & the RIGHT to pay the city a smalll fee to camp

Cool thing to bring to poor people!

Bad idea. What if a cruel frat gets drunk, sneaks up on you at night and tips it over?

Nice!
A fold out camper/shopping cart for when I am homeless, good idea.

It's a nice surprise to find your animation. I'm interested to know why you chose a contemporary art work, and why Wodiczko as the subject... Have you done any others related to contemporary artists?

Really impresive...
That's a cool idea...now if the homeless could alone afford it...
