At an artificial lake in Thailand, several of the world's largest and rarest freshwater fish lurk near anglers baited hooks - and some conservationists couldn't be happier.

  • Would be great if they could do this, but with more Mekong Species.

    There's a lot more Pangasius in the Mekong. And Mahseer have been known to rival, even exceed, Salmon in terms of Angling grace and power.

  • @mooburinz Probably not. Most translations, by anyone, seem to be wrong. Especially through stuff like this or the news, but that isn't a big suprise to anyone.

  • I don't understand the attraction of catching fish and then turning them loose. Why not just go snorkel or scuba and photograph them?

  • 2:12 WOW!!! the ellusive burping fish!!! I thought they were extinct. These fishes were intensively fished due to awesome burps they produce. NICE CATCH!! :D
