Con-Artists along Las Ramblas, Barcelona

Tourist traveling along Las Ramblas, Barcelona, be careful this group of con-artists who shuffle match boxes (3) with a paper ball inside, and lure you to bet on the correct match box that contains the paper ball. It is the same concept as the Three-card Monte trick as describe in Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-card_Monte

I was tricked euro$100, and decided to video them 4 days later. I had seen some tourist even loss euro$300 per bet!
Lesson learned: Don't be greedy, money does not come so easily.

the thing is the police in barcelona knows them and they tolerate them. when the cops show up they just leave thats is. but just to show respect to the police infront of the tourist. 5 minutes later theyre back.

i swear i fell in this trap lost 80euros but luk my luck 1 day later found a brand new blackberry in a taxi on las ramblas rd....there crafty ppl so whoevers goin beware big tym cz da taxi drivers warn u from da pocket pickers there !!!!

I watched this clip before my wife and I went to La Rambla. We passed by a shell game going on . So I said to my wife "Watch me try to record this, but a spectator won't allow it.". Sure enough, I acted like this was the coolest thing I ever saw . When I pulled out my camera and aimed it at the game , one of the spectators got mad and tried swatting at my camera. I made like I was just trying to tape this neat event and you are getting upset.That made the crowd disperse. LOL!

I remember this scam wen i went las ramblas in sep which was 3 months ago and i unfortuntly got caught in this scam and i lost 60euros but then on the way going home i caught a taxi and found a blackberry 9700 which is worth over 250euros so i got it back and made money but never again....

i lived on las ramblas for 8 weeks and watched these guys everyday...by far not the best con artists on the street...haha but they definitely made bank
