in this example i play 6 and 4 groups of notes in a 4/4.

6+6+4 = 16 notes in the 4/4 bar

  • At the beginning are those rapid rolls between the snare and toms double stroke rolls?

  • if you read the SUBTITLES you will undestand that the patter is a combination of paraddidle , singles and doubles. if you read is very easy. the idea is to put on a group of FOUR other combination of 6 notes. if you read is very simple

  • it's a combination of 6 and 4 notes patterns playied as quads, if you read it's like a paradiddle. the pattern is the same

  • yes, the basic concept is to put 6 and 4 pattern in the 4/4 bar with 16th notes. very usefull and cool..

  • @giosmrbig this is awesome, i actually have like all of gary chaffe's paterns book books, but i've never care to look at them, sice ive been busy working on the book the art of bop of drummng and advanced funk stdies, this has motivated me to look at these books more, thanks!
