A response to Geerup's video "Talking snake?"
Many believers who claim to take the tale in Genesis of the creation and fall of humankind do not in fact take the story literally. Why is that? Well, I suspect many, perhaps even most avowed literalists recognize the many problematic implications of truly being a Genesis literalist.
By the way, my narration of this video started out in stereo here on YouTube and has since gone predominantly to the left side. It's a YouTube problem and I don't know what to do about it. Sorry.

2 This horrible blood bath of 3000 people makes me think someone escaped back from where they came from & since Moses was slaughtering perfectly good prior slaves then the Romans were sent out to stop this mad man. But somebody had to write the story so was very likely a terrified follower who wished to honor Moses by fabricating miracles in the writings. I suspect all people's today are believing over dramatization of real or hallucinated events. Either that or God is an alien
1 I'm thinking Moses was high on peyote or the like. He was the only person to see, hear or talk to "God". It took 40 days for "God" to write the 10 commandments then Moses shattered them (not too smart) then he cut up the gold calf & force fed it to some of the people (that had to be horrifying to watch) which made 3000 people decide to quit following this crazed drugged up hippie who then mass executed those who desired their freedom
Picture a people in late BC time era. Highly superstitious & very vulnerable to exploitation. If a man so much as rode into town looking like a Christian crusader all dressed in white and glittering upon first appearance would be considered a God. These things were documented amongst many ancient tribal people. In the 20s when white man landed their planes in the jungle the tribes described them as Gods glowing white decending from the heavens in a thunderous roar
Is the Bible literal? Is it all non literal? Are the events mostly an hallucination? All tribal Holy Men prior to & following the biblical era used Holy plants, berries or concoctions to visit with God or the spirits. Today we call that hallucinogens, psychedelics, LSD. Street names: acid, boomers, yellow sunshine, Back breaker, Dots, Elvis, Loony toons, Lucy in the sky with diamonds, Superman, Window pane, Zen
It gets really interesting when one begins to listen to other people's religions or ancient texts, green people have been mentioned in other religions. Gods that transformed their image into cows & other animals to hide from the giants. Flying craft in the skies, Chariots of fire, Ezekiel's wheel within a wheel & other ancient scripts mentioning what we call UFOs, the mention of odd looking humanoids or demons
If, and that is a BIG IF, "reptillians" exist living in caverns benieth the earth's surface then what people call a reptilian today could easily have been that talking serpant.
Also, I have noticed that in raising children they lie by nature. Somebody had to relay the Garden of Eden events of early time to another. I assume Eve did not want others to know she was fully responsible so she told others the snake told her to do it & being nothing more than stupid cave men they all bought the story, including generations to date
A If the story of Eden is literal & no psychedelics were consumed then in many cases it appears the all seeing God is not, because God left Adam & Eve alone, he did not interfere with the serpent nor Eve yet only later did God arrive & could not find Adam, God kept calling Adam asking where he was. Adam was hiding behind a bush yet God couldn't see him. This easily could relate to God being a humanoid alien scientist with a bad temper
B But the fact that a serpent was actually talking to Eve she must have eaten some psychedelics. The fruit of knowledge and evil is mentioned as a fruit, not any specific fruit. The fruit could have been an hallucinogenic berry that perhaps she already ate of then she correlated the snake as tempting her then she gave Adam some which they had one Hell of a scary trip in which they fled the garden & was afraid to go back because acid trips seem very real & they were just simple cave men
