first try! Yay! A tune I really like called Sailor's Wife. The whistle is my still-brand-new Clarke Original D.
Also, this was in Firefly, Episode 5: Safe. I didn't know Firefly at the time, but I do now and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  • Well done! You just have to practice a bit how to breath while playing the whistle, you can hear the small gaps when you gasp for air. When playing in a group this is a rhythm problem. But all with all, very very well done!

  • Thanks :). This video is pretty old and I've made a lot of progress ince I made it, but it's definitely still something that needs work!

  • this was in firefly

  • @Aeon135 Sweet! I actually know what that is now!!! What episode?

  • Do you read these from sheet music? I could never do that, to hard. Your music has improved greatly. Keep it up!

  • yeah... not really.. although i've been reading music for ten years now.. lol. I started piano, then switched to violin, then started to whistle. honestly, it's not hard to learn. you just figure out which dot corresponds to which fingers. try it!

  • Nice job! Finally! Another Clark player! Is yours tweaked? I own one that is, and I love it. Keep up the good work, and Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🎁

  • This is a beautiful rendition of a marvelous song!

  • @Vaskis4life Safe. It's the song River dances to on Jiangyin.

  • ..Its great... Be my girlfriend! ;)

  • Nice. Love it

    Suggestion

    Use a metronome when practicing

  • Well done, I love this tune, ever since i heard it on Firefly the first time.

  • Noway! :) i got that same whistle for playing in D

  • FIREFLY!!!!

  • I stumbled across your site by searching Galway Girl and have become somewhat addicted. Great stuff in here. Your progression is amazing. I've always enjoyed Chet Atkins' reply when an interviewer asked "How many hours a day do you practice?' he answered "I don't really practice all that much. I just play guitar for about 10 hrs a day." So the moral to the story is: It's all in your perspective. Keep up the good work, your doing great. (& you're just ADORABLE as well, break my heart)
