Sony ECM-HW1 Wireless Bluetooth Mic Test

Purchased at Canoga Camera for $179 including tax. I got a Sony HandyCam DCR-SR200 Camcorder for Christmas so I bought the wireless mic for interviewing people. It also works great on kids.

It come with two straps. One strap can go around the arm and the second goes around your neck. Finally, there is a clip on the back that can clamp onto a shirt pocket or belt etc.

I don't recommend using the neck strap if the subject is in motion. As you will pick up large thumbing sounds in your audio. As it bounces back and forth across your chest.

It is a good product. It can record up to 100feet or 30 meters. The only down fall is that it records in mono and not stereo. I guess it depends on your needs. I would recommend it to anyone. They have a newer model ECM-HW2 it is exactly the same thing in terms of hardware. The only difference is that it comes with headphones.

Hi id like to know if there is any input or output on the mic so you can maybe connect a small mic that attaches to your collar
