I personally advocate stricter rules and regulations for banks (and perhaps private equity firms and venture capitalists) , mortgage agents, and insurances as these are such a core part of society. It cannot and should not fail. If a stable political climate promotes a strong economy I believe good governance should strengthen an economy as well.

He gives the world a positive vibe. He actually takes a stand and urges us all to be better than we were. I'm european and I think he is the best PR you could wish for.

The current economic state has come from the (non)actions of business, government, and people that just wanted to earn (big) money, over the last 30 years. Understandable but some methods are debatable. His administration together with other nations are trying to do do what should have been done years ago.

actually, if you read the recent house of rep report on the causes of the economic crisis you would find that it was caused by 30 yrs of bad policies. both parties have responsibility here.

but i guess if you are a high school drop out and see the world in the simple shades of blk and wht the concept of complexity might allude u. either way, it doesn't take a genius to c that spending $ on wool research is not going to stimulate the econ. obama doesn't know what he is doing.

magdamagda999 - his stimulus package was and is intended to combat the global recession - the results have been disappointing fair enough, but i believe the situation would have been much worse had the republicans had their way and done nothing. As for the hand bag thing that's completely irrelevant lol. This comment is 100 % well intended btw. : )
