I swore I saw 8 dislikes when I wrote this. I guess one of them decided that Klingon hell is a far worse fate than dying in honorable combat.

@jubetuber Pah! Those Ha'DIbaH deserves to sent to Gre'thor!
-
@StellusBattersea Ah ok, so it's like an electric guitar, but the resonance of a metal beam adds to sound. Fascinating.
-
@Stealtht6 That good sir is actually a Blaster Beam. which according to Wiki is: [ a concept electronic musical instrument consisting of a 12 to 18-foot (5.5 m) long metal beam strung with numerous tensed wires under which are mounted electric guitar pickups which can be moved to alter the sound produced. The instrument is played by striking or plucking the strings with fingers, sticks, pipes or even large objects such as artillery shell casings. ] A very awesome sound to incorporate!

I think the problem is with peoples. I love Star Trek the Motion Picture, others love the crappy Star Trek the Shitty Bold and the Beautiful. i'm not interested in seeing Spock and Uhura getting it on, I'm interested in seeing Star Trek. I felt really violated when I saw the new movie. It felt like a rape. Spock wasn't like that. Uhura wasn't like that. It doesn't make any sense.

I love the movie, and the score. The problem is with people who don't like the true Star Trek movie, but something like whatever yeah.
-
@iluvgoldfrapp And that`s just a warm up.
-
i really like this score it can project strength
comparable to miklos rozsa the rowing of the
galley slaves from the movie ben hur
-
The beam is also noticeable in "Stealing Enterprise" from ST3

The 7 dislikes are Kirk, Spock, Chekov, Sulu, Uhura, Scotty, and McCoy.

Great theme. This song alone tells us more about the Klingon psyche than a library full of books could. Without Goldsmith the substance and fiber of the Klingon race would have been diminished, or at the very least far less colorful.
R.I.P Goldsmith :(
