@eruweraranj0r Not a single count from history of homosexuals being burned at the stake. Nor of witches being burned at the stake. Those accused of being such things were hung. So really it is 100% BULLSHIT that "faggot" has origins in immolation.
The origin of "faggot" is clear: from upper class British boarding schools.
The less rich student would be the designated "faggot" for the richer student as a servile sycophant, think Smithers from The Simpsons.

In her defence faggot was not always a disparaging term for gay men, and really it should NEVER be used to slander gay men, but return to it's original usage for alleging "weak willed, spineless character".
However that is a poor defence as Coulter clearly meant to imply he was simply gay. Which is a stupid and petty insult poorly disguised.
