GLORIA is a great film. Gena is so sexy and believable. Check out A WOMAN UNDER THE INFLUENCE and OPENING NIGHT too, FVAD81, if you haven't seen them already. She's incredible in both of them, and JC's direction and writing is magnificent.

J.C. is not only an amazing director and writer, but a terrific actor. I haven't seen this film yet, but I've got a few Cassavetes films on DVD and they're superb. Yes, John WAS amazing in this scene, joet88. That's one of the real great things about JC movies - the sheer naturalistic quality of the acting. You forget it's acting and you genuinely believe you're watching actual people in real-life situations. This is pure class.
