At the break of dawn this morning the Greenpeace climate rescue team took action against one of the biggest climate polluters in New Zealand - the Huntly coal-fired power station. Greenpeace activists entered the Huntly site at dawn and are now preparing to take action against the plant.

  • coals lovely!

    smells nice

  • Huntly isn't coal-fired - it's gas- and coal-fired, and over its history has generated more electricity from gas than it has from coal.

And coal isn't the dirtiest fuel - oil is. Oil electricity is 33% more polluting per unit than coal is, and gas is half as polluting as coal.

  • they must have a nice security system

  • Greenpeace is just a bunch of stupid hippies! Global warming is not real, just some liberal created scam to make money off us, They are so worried that the polar bears have no home because the ice is melting. I reallly hate greenpeace, hope they get killed when they fall of that smokestack..... WAIT A MINUTE????? WHO THE HELL ALLOWED THEM UP THERE ANYWAY? Tresspassing? then stealing coal? How is this legal?

  • Plants have taken in all man's CO2 to grow more! Burning coal boosts life!

  • far out no hazard I.D,no work authority, think they are biggest hazards themselves not the coal

  • I work at this place' you gonna pay my bills.I dont think so you dickheads get a real job

  • I work at this place' this is my livelyhood is greenpeace going to pay my bills.
