hahahaha, the yardbirds were shit, lol. no imagination as a band, Page is playing the same riffs almost as the Zep version, but the band aren't there with him, just goes to show how important it is to have a good drummer in a band, (+ JPJ and RP)

This sounds like a bad cover version in comparison with the later monumental Zep version. Thank-the-lord Jimmy Page went on to form Led Zeppelin with Plant, Bonham & Jones.

I've seen a couple of other clips from this show (French television, "Bouton Rouge", maybe? I think one of them was with Pink Floyd) and I find it hilarious (and somewhat disturbing) that the "host" sits behind the band (at, what, a reel-to-reel tape recorder?) while it performs...I can't imagine a more awkward role, unless they'd put him in go-go boots and a cage, and had him dance...
