Dan Rather live on Russia Today

America has neglected Russia, according to veteran newsman Dan Rather. He says that we live in a dangerous era, largely because of ignorance in Washington.

I agree. We need to pursue more relations with Russia. Russia is trying to re-assert itself in the world as a power. Not to mention they have the largest oil reserves outside of the middle east. Russia has influence in the world where the "Anglosphere" doesn't. Its time for us to get over the past and welcome our Russian counterparts.

Rather is correct that America is obsessed with China and neglecting Russia.

I am sick of hearing US reporters giving virtual blowjobs to Chinese officials & corporate moguls.

I am disturbed by the ignorance of our current president and by that of Obama & Ms. Clinton regarding Russia. Worse, McCain hates Russia and would get us into a new Cold War.

Putin & Medvedev will have to teach the ignorant US power elite some hard lessons in the next few years.

@cobaltwill215 Russia is VERY patient and also VERY clever. If they are smart, they will NOT get involved with "American" democracy and global events. They should just keep to themselves and wait. They will overtake the power in the world because they grow stronger every year. Make no mistake. Russia is VERY bitter about the collapse of the USSR. They blame America.... "RUSSIA imploded within itself"??? You mean "USSR imploded within itself"? That is not true. USSR was intentionally dismantled. It was planed. It was staged. Te project of dismantling of USSR was a project of top high Russian academics and professors in Moscow. The idea of the project was to CONTROL the dismantling of USSR in order to preserve its core (Russia). When Russia recovers after it cleans itself of communism, start the unification process on the post-Soviet space. That is happening.
