Do you recognize me
Here on this sleeper train
And do you feel the pain
Growing into the night, Mary
And I can feel the taste
Of your third birthday cake
Remember how it was
To hold you into my arms, Mary
It was there
The summer lights around
I was there
His hand upon my knees
And we're gone
Across this sunny streets
And we're gone
The day you died, Mary
And we go faster now
Together throught the fields
Here on this sleeper train
And I can touch your face, Mary
The precious things we've done
Hidden under my skin
I let you sleep a while
I let you sleep a while, Mary
It was there
The summer lights around
I was there
His hand upon my knees
And we're gone
Across this sunny streets
And we're gone
The day you died, Mary

  • I didn't know that Yann Tiersen & Elisabeth Fraser ever collaborated on a song and couldn't really expected it would be something possible as Tiersen's work didn't interested me that much but... WOW ! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL, MOVING AND YET SO DRAMATIC (dramatic with so much tenderness !...) SONG !... Does any odt knows anything more aout the story of this song ? Who wrote the lyrics, when was it released, on which album,... and WHY ?... un grand bravo et merçi, merci, merci ....

  • ı'm in love with this song..

  • @misspetedoherty I think you should get interested in Tiersen, if you like this song. Because it is very typical for him, almost to the point of self-plagiarism. Still great song, of course.

  • I love Yan Tiersen, i love the piano.. but i don't like she... :L Can I hear this music without her voice?

  • Nice picture, who is it from?

Ans thanks for the upload =)

  • wooow!

  • this just blew my mind...what a revelation

  • @pontello3 You should watch the film called Amélie (Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain), with Yann Tiersen's magnificent soundtrack. Anyway, he is a french composer.

  • who's yann tiersen?

  • Que hermosa canción!

  • Such a haunting song and melody...

    Thank-you... another piece of peace.
